We exist to Love God
…with all of our hearts, souls, minds, and strength. Christianity is not simply a religious system, it is a soul-satisfying relationship with the Creator of the Cosmos. Jesus would rather endure the agony of the cross for us rather than live in the glory of Heaven without us. When we trust in this Good News as the means of our salvation, the Spirit of Jesus Christ enters our hearts and empowers to live a new life – a life of worship (1 John 4:9; Romans 12:1-2). The only way we can express true love to God and worship Him is by trusting in His death upon the cross and resurrection from the dead as payment for our sins. The Holy Spirit immediately enters our hearts, seals our salvation, and empowers a life of worship. This is the soul satisfaction Jesus was referring to when He offered the woman at the well, “Living Water.”
We exist to Love One Another
… as Jesus loved us. This is why we want to help you move from spectatorship and onto the playing field of biblical community. Community is a place where everyone can know and be known, love and be loved, serve and be served, and celebrate and be celebrated. In biblical community, no one stands alone. At Hope Works, we believe every member is a minister. We therefore want to help you discover and deploy your God-given spiritual gift. When we are all living in community and exercising our spiritual gift in ministry, we will walk in freedom, grow more like Jesus, and shine the light of Jesus into the darkness.
We exist to Change the World
…with the Gospel, love, and power of Jesus Christ. Every day, we rub shoulders with people who are just an invite away from a life-changing encounter with Christ. Invite your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to attend Hope Works so they will hear and understand what it means to be born-again and to become a follower of Christ. We believe with all of our heart that Jesus Christ is the Hope of the World. When we boldly and unapologetically share the Good News of Jesus Christ, we shine the Light of Life into this world, the darkness scatters and new life dawns.
