Our History

Hope Works roots are deeply entrenched in the city of Fort Worth and our reach stretches to the uttermost parts of the earth as we continue to push back the darkness with the light of the Gospel and the love of our Savior.

God loves you! And so do we.

We endeavor to shine the light of Jesus Christ into every dark corner of Fort Worth and the uttermost parts of the world.

Pastor Shane Gray started Hope Works in the summer of 2003 with a vision and a prayer. The vision was to shine the light and love of Jesus Christ into every heart in Fort Worth and beyond and then build them into fully devoted and fully free followers of Jesus Christ. The prayer was simple, “Here am I Lord, use me.”

Over the last 20 years God has been so faithful to fulfill this vision and answer this prayer. Hope Works is a wildfire of hope consuming all darkness in our path with the Gospel and Spirit of Jesus Christ.

Hope Works purchased our beautiful, historical building in 2010 and has resounded the Gospel from this location ever since. We continue to expand beyond our walls through home-groups, ministries, missions, orphanages, and The Power of Hope Broadcast.

We believe that through the unconditional love, acceptance, and forgiveness of Jesus Christ any wound can be healed, any sin forgiven, any family restored, and any child can become a passionate follower of Jesus Christ.

We believe the church is not a place we go to; but rather something we are, as we worship Jesus Christ, encourage one another with our God-given gifts, grow with one another as loving church family, and reach out into the community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
